During the Wild West era, the weapons most used in duels between cowboys and outlaws were revolvers.

The Cavalrymen, on the other hand, used Carabines. They were specially created so that they could carry a long-range weapon and be used from the saddle. At first, they used a type of Carabine called Sharps; but due to their heating problem, which caused the casings to melt and made the gun obsolete, they switched to the Spencer model.

Another favorite weapon was the Derringer pistol, due to its small size and ease of concealment.
