The Kolser Schofield revolver replica is inspired by the variant of the Smith & Wesson Model 3 known as the Schofield, manufactured during the 1870s.
The original firearm was a single-action revolver distinguished by its hinged frame and top-break opening system. Releasing the latch allowed the barrel and cylinder assembly to pivot downwards, activating the cartridge extraction mechanism.
Kolser’s reproduction features a simulated working mechanism that allows the hammer and trigger to be operated, the cylinder to rotate, the barrel to break open and all six decorative cartridges to be ejected simultaneously.
This non-firing replica is designed for collecting, historical re-enactment, display and film, television and other audiovisual productions.
The Schofield was distinguished by its top-break hinged frame. Once the latch was released, the barrel and cylinder pivoted forwards around a lower hinge, activating a central extractor that raised all the cartridge cases together and provided access to the six chambers. This system allowed the cylinder to be unloaded in a single action.
The variant was named after George W. Schofield, a United States Army officer who held patents relating to improvements to this mechanism. Smith & Wesson manufactured Schofield revolvers between 1875 and 1878, with most of the production supplied to the U.S. Army.

EXCELENTE A base de 12 reseñas Publicado en Google Konstantinos SoilemezisTrustindex verifica que la fuente original de la reseña sea Google. A company that truly delivers on its promise of quality design. Their old west replicas are lifelike, weighty, pretty, and combine the realism of a very accurate representation of the historical guns with the fun and safe aspect of a simulated firing mechanism that can pop toy caps (and quite loudly at that too!). I got the Colt SAA (commonly known as the "Peacemaker" among other names) with a wooden grip and I am very satisfied. If you are interested in adding a quality replica to your collection, a realistic prop for your next cowboy outfit/cosplay or simply a great showpiece to have, I wholeheartedly recommend Kolser's products. A special shout out and thank you to their marketing team for their impeccable customer support.
