JOSEPH KIRNER 1807 DUELING PISTOLS SET

Ref: 47-1103-2 Categories ,

Replica of Joseph Kirner 1807 pistol, it was very popular from the reign of Louis XV, when his poor rule laid the foundations for the French Revolution.

Kolser preserves the style and shape of this beautiful flintlock weapon. It measures 32 centimetres and is made of resin and silver-plated metal.

This type of weapon was mostly used in duels such as first shot, first blood or the famous duel to the death.

These weapons were meant to act as an extension of the duellist’s arm, and it was common for French and Belgian pistols to have rifled barrels to give the shot greater accuracy.

It is a splendid piece that, when held, makes you feel like one of those noblemen who defended their honour through duelling.
